Gothic Portal Muse Journal

An original 5x7 inch, mixed media, hardcover, coptic bound Muse Journal.

This Muse Journal has wonderfully textured covers. It feels very old with it's collaged gothic doorway (an image from one of my trips to England) and earthy paint colours. Making books with paintings for covers is a great way to marry my two loves - books and art.

I make these books with a Coptic binding because I love the look of the painted spine wraps AND because the binding allows it to lie flat while you work inside... beautiful and practical!
