Expressing My Inner World

I have always possessed a romantic soul, relating to the world around me through myth and legend. My childhood reads like a story book; I spent it wandering country lanes and wooded hillsides on horseback.

My creative path leads me on, compelling me to express my inner world as an artist, designer, calligrapher, writer, photographer and bookbinder. Each discipline brings its intrinsic value to my evocative paintings, book art, sculpture and altered images.

My art evolves in organic layers of image, colour, texture, line and word. I work intuitively, arranging disparate elements into an artful composition — concealing and revealing my thoughts and emotions.

Merging various media allows me to open a door on the multi-faceted dreamscape of my imagination - to share what I see and what I feel. The pivotal inclusion of text in my work creates a window through which the viewer gains further insight.

While contemporary in style, my art embodies an age-old quality; an underlying connection to the stories that have shaped my life.
